30 Pink Piggies

You can't have little girls and not paint their toenails! This was Scarlett's first time...

There's just something adorable about little pink toes :)

30 pink piggies make me smile :)
Love my little girls!

Ultrasound

We had our ultrasound this morning. So thankful Stuart is still on a good schedule and was able to go with me. It's fun having him there :) We successfully made it through without finding out the gender! It was all curled up in a ball, but we were still able to see pretty much everything. It's amazing how much you can see on these ultrasounds, every little bone in its spine, little fingers, eyes, the heart beating, and it even stuck its tongue out at us. The only thing I wanted was to see a healthy baby and everything looks great! He/She is estimated to weigh about 12 ounces right now. I am already in love with this little person and feel so blessed. Babies truly are little miracles.

So what's your guess? Boy or girl?

I'm guessing it's a girl and she's going to look like Scarlett. Guess we'll see in about 4 months! :)

Happy 92nd Birthday!

Today would have been my Pappaw's 92nd birthday. It's hard to believe he's not here in this world with us anymore, but he's definitely living on in our hearts!

I love how much he loved our little girls...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPPAW!
We love and miss you.

20 Weeks

I'm amazed that this pregnancy is halfway over. Kind of makes me sad because this will most likely be our last and I told myself I wanted to savor it, but I haven't done much to record this pregnancy or my feelings during it. I guess now is the time to start since I'm already 20 weeks!

Everything seems to happen sooner with each pregnancy. I've been having braxton hicks contractions since 14 weeks with this baby (I started at 16 weeks with Scarlett) and I also started feeling the baby move around 14-15 weeks! Stuart has been able to feel it move a couple of times now. I had Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction with both of the girls and this pregnancy is no different so I'm pretty used to it by now, but it's still very painful. The one thing that has been different is Sciatica. It only bothered me maybe once or twice with the girls, but this time it has been catching me off guard A LOT lately and it's a pain in the butt (literally)! Although pregnancy can be uncomfortable and painful sometimes, I don't take it for granted and I know someday I'll miss being pregnant as weird as that sounds.

I have my ultrasound next week, and yes...we are sticking to our plan and not finding out the gender! Just hoping to see a healthy little baby :)

Bye bye toes....see ya in 20 weeks!

{6 Years} Bed & Breakfast

Stuart and I have been married for 6 years and we have never done anything for our anniversary. The 1st year he was deployed in Japan, the second year we were in the hospital with our 1 day old baby, and every year since then has been focused on her & other things. So this year we finally decided to do something for ourselves since we had the chance while we were in TX with lots of family to watch the kids! I found the cutest little bed & breakfast called Tara Farms in Brenham and booked it for the weekend! I had to take pictures to share with y'all how sweet this little cottage is :)

The moment we walked in, Stuart said I know why you picked this place!
It's so shabby chic! Haha...he knows me well ;)

The owners, Tami & Troy are such a sweet couple who put in so much hard work to build this cottage along with their own home! All of the little touches they added made us feel so welcome, and created a nice place to relax. We're so happy we had a chance to meet them and get to know them a little bit!

While we were in Brenham, we also stopped at the Antique Rose Emporium. Such a pretty place!

And we couldn't go to Brenham without a trip to Blue Bell!
Only the best ice cream ever :)

We had a nice weekend together! Dreaming about moving back to TX someday and living on a farm for our kids to run around and enjoying the simple life.
Someday....

Texas

Warning - This is a very random post and most pictures are from my iphone. Someday I'll be a good blogger and keep up with this thing, but until then...

The week after Bryn's birthday & recital we took a trip home to Texas! We hadn't all been back together as a family in a long time so it was fun to go home and see everyone! (Minus the 16 hour drive with 2 kids, a dog, and being pregnant!)

The peaceful moments when the girls slept in the car

We stopped by my grandparents house to go through their things and pick out some that we wanted. It brought back a lot of memories, and it's sad that they aren't there anymore to greet us with hugs & kisses at the door and hear my Pappaw call us girls "Sugar-pie." Ok, now I'm getting emotional with the thought. But their things and memories will live on through us and I will always cherish that!

Brynlee with her cousins Macy & Maggie.

We made the genius decision to make a pit-stop at SeaWorld in San Antonio for a day. Wasn't thinking that it would be 103 degrees out! Pretty much takes the fun out of it, but we tried to make the best of it!

It doesn't look like it but my mom took this picture when Scarlett was screaming her head off b/c she was so tired, and I was about to pass out from the heat! Fun :)

We all enjoyed the Shamu show, especially Brynlee! And apparently whales jumping out the water have the ability to make a pregnant woman emotional. Hah! Gotta love these hormones ;)
After SeaWorld we finally made it to our final destination!

Happy to be at the grandparent's house and cool off in their new pool!

Until the mosquitos attack and you look like you got punched in the eye!
Even the mosquitos are bigger in Texas :(

It was a fun trip. Exhausting, but fun! And nice to see everyone.

This little girl went to bed the night before we left crying b/c she was going to miss all of her family :(
Hopefully someday we'll live closer!

Had too much stuff we had to take home a U-Haul! I call that a successful trip ;)

Bye bye Texas! See you later.
