Ellie - 2 Months

I've been wanting to post about Ellie for a while, just haven't had the time. 

Life with 3 kids is busy!

She's already 2 months old now! 

At her checkup yesterday she weighed in at 12lbs 8oz and is 20.75 inches long. Stuart and I have noticed that her head was starting to get a flat spot on one side and that she always favors leaning her head one way. Well it turns out that she has a condition called torticollis. It basically means that the muscles in her neck are shorter on one side than the other. Probably caused from the position she was in the womb. She has a referral to a pediatric physical therapist and they will do stretches and exercises to help develop and lengthen the muscles in her neck. It's apparently pretty common (1 in every 250 babies) and not really anything to worry about since she'll be getting treatment at a very young age. You can learn more about torticollis here.

Other than that she is doing great! She is smiling and cooing and I can't get enough! She's starting to get into a routine and sleeping for longer stretches at night. The past couple of nights she has been sleeping for about 7 hours straight! Thank goodness for a good swaddle :)

She's a sweet little girl and fits right into our family, it feels like she's been here forever! We're excited to watch her grow and learn. So blessed to have another healthy little girl in our life! God is good :)

22 Months

Scarlett is 22 months old today!

I can't believe my spunky little girl is almost 2! 

I have lots to write about her, but not enough time!

Let's just say she's keeping me on my toes these days ;)
